Last class

Today was the last ICT class, and I can’t believe how fast time has flown by. Just when I was starting to really get into these technologies, the course has already come to an end. This class has completely changed my perspective on using technology in teaching. Before, I thought using PowerPoint, playing audio recordings, and doing online quizzes was already “using technology,” but there is so much more to explore—games, AI, VR—all of these can truly make learning more engaging. The game-based learning part was eye-opening. I never imagined that Minecraft could be used to learn English, but it actually makes so much sense—students build and explore while naturally using the language. Kahoot and Quizizz are also incredibly effective; something as simple as a quiz can feel like a game, which keeps students engaged. Compared to filling in the blanks or rote memorization, these tools make students actively want to learn and practice, which is the real magic of technology. Th...

Weekly Reflection on ICT in TESOL: How Technology Truly Enhances Language Teaching

This week’s ICT course gave me a deeper understanding of the role of technology in language teaching, particularly in Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) . I used to think of technology as just a supporting tool, such as using PowerPoint for lectures, playing audio recordings, or conducting online quizzes. However, I’ve come to realize that technology can truly transform classroom interactions and even help students learn more effectively outside the classroom.❤ MALL: How Mobile Devices Empower Language Learning💜 The course highlighted that mobile devices (such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops) are not just learning platforms but also powerful tools that provide students with instant access to knowledge while enhancing interactivity. Some key applications include: • Pronunciation Practice : Students can record themselves using their phones and analyze their pronunciation with AI-powered speech recognition tools (e.g., Google Speech-to-Text). They can also practice ...

Recently, in the course ICT Interactive Online Resources for Blended Learning, we learned about several amazing online tools, including H5P, Genially, TED Ed, SimpleShow, Xerte, and Book Creator. These tools really opened my eyes to how fun learning can be! Today, I want to share my learning experience and reflections. I feel that these tools are not only useful for teachers but also for us students to enhance our learning efficiency. H5P : Making Learning Interactive H5Pis a super practical tool that allows you to quickly create various interactive content, such as quizzes embedded in videos, timelines, flashcards, and more. It’s easy to use but delivers impressive results! My Experience: I created a small quiz using H5P and found that it not only allows students to test themselves while learning but also provides real-time feedback. This made me realize that learning doesn’t have to be one-way—where the teacher talks and the students listen—but can be interactive at any time. Reflect...
